Skyreach was founded by the Managing Director, Mr Rod Leech in 1994. Today it is still a privately owned family company, with Rod's wife Alyson holding the position of Company Secretary.
Mr Geoff Giddings, the General Manager, has also been with the company for over 17 years and they have a team of capable managers running the various branches.
Skyreach's Head Office is located at Caboolture on Brisbane's northern metropolitan outskirts. This facility was purpose built in 2006 and comprises our main administration and mechanical workshops and includes re-cycled water wash bays, a fully stocked spare parts store and a fully equipped paint booth.
Skyreach has rental branches in Melbourne, Yatala, Caboolture, Dalby, Gladstone, Moranbah, Mackay, Townsville and Cairns and each of these are fully supported by a vast rental fleet, a hire control department, a rental sales team, a mechanical workshop, field service vehicles and a transport fleet.
As Queensland is where the company started, Skyreach's presence in this state is especially strong. The branch network covers from the north to the south of the state with the major Bowen Basin and Surat Basin regions and the Gladstone area especially well serviced.
Skyreach also incorporates a subsidiary company called Skyreach Sales Australia, which is the exclusive agent for SkyJack EWP's and Merlo telehandlers and also sells new Genie and JLG equipment to the end user market. Skyreach Sales also sells all of Skyreach's second hand equipment once the fleet reaches a certain age.
Skyreach also incorporates another company called Platform Attachment Rentals, which designs, manufactures and certifies attachments for EWP's and Telehandlers. These attachments include; Pipe Racks, Panel Lifters and Reo Bar Lifters for EWP's, as well as, Jib, Hook and Grab attachments for Telehandlers. We also manufacture and certify these attachments locally for some of the equipment manufacturers themselves.
Skyreach has also designed and built special "one-off" machines for customers such as a detachable lighting panel incorporated on to a boom lift, which is being used in the filming of Wolverine. This allows the production crew to interchange the machine for use as either a boomlift for construction or a lighting tower for filming and special effects. We have the capability to purpose build these types of machines for all of your requirements.
