CELEBRATING 25 YEARS
Skyreach was established in May of 1994 by Skyreach’s current CEO and Managing director, Rod Leech. The company begun its history in Geebung, Queensland, and has now expanded to Australia’s East Coast with nine rental branches and over 100 staff trading from Cairns to Melbourne. The Skyreach head office relocated in February 2006, allowing Skyreach to drastically expand their fleet and staff size. Skyreach now has adequate space for a rapidly growing fleet, state of the art facilities for fleet management, significant office space for a growing human resource sector, and a new location that allows swift and efficient machinery distribution.
Throughout the years, Skyreach have provided machines to many major projects around the country. These ventures include blockbuster movie and television productions (Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Matrix, Narnia, Thor); military projects (Enoggera, Amberley, Lavarack); coal mines (GLNG, QCLNG, APLNG); industrial sites (Queensland Nickel Refinery, Carlton, XXXX, Visy Board, Yabulu Refinery); and countless infrastructure projects (Airport Link, Clem 7, Gateway Bridge, Horizon Alliance, Legacy Way).
In 2016, Skyreach then joined forces with Nishio, a Japanese general hire company, to be the combined 8th largest trader within the entire national and international hire & rental industry. Nishio jumping on board marked a significant step in Skyreach’s development as a company as they looked to create a larger national footprint.
This venture allowed Skyreach to acquire the industry’s leading products and resources, reassuring their customers that they are provided the safest and most technologically advanced equipment the market offers. Looking forward to the next 25 years, Skyreach will continue to expand on their evergrowing fleet and continue to provide unparalleled service to their valued customers.
