EWP TRAINING

The Yellow Card program is designed to ensure that the Yellow Card holder is trained in the safe use and operation of various types of mobile elevating work platforms. Training can be conducted at your local Skyreach branch, or can be performed on-site by request.

Skyreach offers in-house and external Yellow Card training solutions.

The Yellow Card training course will provide successful applicants with the ability to operate specific types of access machinery safely.

Successful applicants will leave with documented evidence of successful completion, of course, EWP Yellow Card Training in the form of an EWPA Yellow Card (mapped to the unit of competency RIIHAN301D Operate elevating work platform).
A Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency RIIHAN301D Operate elevating work platform, can be requested if required, at the time of training by completing a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Application, this can be done through the EWPAs RTO.

DETAILS

  • This training course covers Scissor Lifts (SL), Boom Lifts (BL – 11m and under), and Vertical Lifts (VL)
  • Training can be conducted at your local Skyreach branch, or this course can be performed on-site by request
  • Approximately 6 hours in duration with an induction
  • Restricted tickets for persons between 16 years to 18 years available
  • Nationally recognised ticket
  • Ticket valid for five years, refresher training required for renewal
  • Skyreach is a recognised training provider accredited through the Elevating Work Platform Association of Australia
  • Between 2 – 5 people per training session
  • Qualified trainers with over 12 years’ experience in the EWP industry
  • Statement of Attainment can be requested through application to the EWPA [fee attached]
  • Recognition of prior learning if applicable – please provide previous/expired ticket

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be over 18 years of age to obtain a Yellow Card licence [16 years to 18 years are eligible to obtain a restricted Yellow Card licence]
  • Must be able to read and write in English for the written exam
  • Must wear steel cap boots and high-vis PPE
